Yes, the first 5 girls now have their own bank account! It took us about 4 hours with all the paperwork, fingerprints and such, but it was sorted and the girls now have their own account!!

Having their own bank account teaches them how to handle money and take responsibility. Their self-confidence will therefore grow enormously. This way they have more control over their own future. .
Sits for care has deposited Rs 4,000 for each girl in their account. They now have to pay for their own books, uniforms, school supplies and the like.
Every six months I check how the money has been spent and replenish it where necessary.

On my next trip I will again take 5-7 girls and 1 of the parents to this bank to open an account for them.

This means a lot to the girls: more freedom and later their salary in their own account that no one can access!
